On Independence Day itself, there’s a 40% chance of thunderstorms before 1 p.m., according to the NWS. Temperatures will hit a high of 93°F, with a heat index climbing to 96°F.
Heading into the weekend
- Saturday: Sunny skies with a searing high of 97°F.
- Sunday: Cooler, with a high near 88°F and a 50% chance of storms after 1 p.m.
