Two years might seem like a long time, but baseball fans in Chicago have something to look forward to come 2027. Wrigley Field has officially been announced as the host of the 97th edition of the MLB All-Star Game.
First All Star Game in three decades

2027 will mark will mark the first time Wrigley Field has hosted the All-Star Game since 1990. The mid-season game will be held on July 13, 2027, according to a report from ESPN.
The 2026 All-Star Game will be held at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia in honor of the 250th anniversary of American independence.
“We look forward to bringing the Midsummer Classic back to historic Wrigley Field and working alongside the Cubs, city and state officials, and the local organizing group to bring an extraordinary experience to the baseball fans of Chicago,” said MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred in a statement.
